Antique English Game Table, Satinwood and Mahogany
Here we have a fine Antique English Game Table, Circa 1870. Beautiful banded satinwood and mahogany veneer. The Victorians were known for playing cards and many games, however, these tables were made to be seen as beautiful console tables against a wall, behind a sofa, or in an entry. They could be pulled out and opened when games were played.
The classical and clean lines of this piece lends itself to being used today in a home with contemporary or traditional interiors.
This table displays beautiful accents in ebony wood, with flame mahogany and a satinwood shell motif on the front panel. The legs are elegantly tapered.
