Executive Desk and Chair, Art Deco, Rosewood Veneer, France, 1930s
An executive desk and chair in an Art Deco style. The desk and accompanying original leather swivel armchair are from France and date back to 1930-40.
The desk showcases a typical Art Deco design with an asymmetrical form. Further, it features a beautiful rosewood veneer and a high-gloss lacquer. The writing plate has an elaborate veneer setting which adds a unique charm to the desk. Inside the desk is a mahogany veneer. The desk has rounded sides with shelves and chromed columns. Inside and out feature nickel-plated fittings. There are three drawers behind a lockable door on the left side. Lastly, the bottom drawer has an adjustable filing compartment.
The desk comes with a matching leather armchair. The swivel chair has a rosewood veneer base and lacquer. The chair has original circumferential metal bars. A high-quality mechanism makes this chair fully rotatable. Refreshed and greatly preserved original leather covers the chair.
The desk can be sold without the swivel chair, upon request.
Overall a wonderful piece of Art Deco furniture that is ready for your home.
