Mid-Century Room Divider, Baumann Fils and Cie., France circa 1940
A beautiful Mid-Century room divider from France circa 1940. Featuring individual solid beech slats and a conservative restoration with shellac French polish. Flexible in its form, it can be curled or stretched. Opens up to 8.2 feet (250 cm). The room divider showcases a wavy top edge.
Between two of the wooden slats, the top metal wires are broken, so there is a slit (see last photos). The bottom wires are still intact and the room divider can be used without limitations.
