Set of 2 Biedermeier chairs, Austria 1830
This beautiful set of 2 Biedermeier chairs has a very pretty walnut veneer. The trapezoidal seat stands on on conical legs and the chairs have sword-shaped hind legs.
The circular shapes of the backrest are specific to the Biedermeier era.
They are upholstered with original seagrass and springs, as well as a modern blue fabric.
The Biedermeier chairs are in good refinished condition, French polished with shellac with the expected wear and tear.
The seat also shows age-related wear.
