Six Biedermeier Chairs, walnut, circa 1830
This set of six Biedermeier chairs, walnut veneered, is from the early 19th century. The rounded seats rest on tapered legs with sword-shaped hind legs.
The chairs have curved backrests typical of the Biedermeier style.
The chairs are upholstered with belts, original springs, and a modern white fabric.
The wood is has been restored, and polished with shellac. The chairs are in overall good condition, with only minimal signs of age-related wear including minor scratches. Worn pressure points barely noticeable. The seats of this set of six Biedermeier chairs also show age-related wear.
