This neoclassical early Biedermeier walnut Secretaire originates from Vienna, Austria around 1820. It features a book-matched walnut veneer and solid wood exterior with ebonized conical full-columns. The cherry solid wood fold-down plate includes an ebonized square writing surface in the center. The interior boasts an elaborate classicist design with archways and pilaster columns, crafted from solid cherry wood with ebonized parts. The interior compartments are removable and conceal some secret compartments. The secretary also includes two doors with a rod lock and a solid drawer at the bottom. It is fully restored to its original condition with a high-gloss shellac French polished surface. Overall a beautiful piece of antique furniture that is ready for your home!
