An exquisite antique French Louis XVI chest of drawers dating from circa 1770, beautifully crafted with kingwood veneer and intricate marquetry inlay work. The commode features three spacious drawers adorned with finely cast original gilt bronze mounts and hardware, exemplifying the elegance and craftsmanship of the Louis XVI period.
The original marble top provides a refined contrast to the rich wood veneers, while the chest stands on gently curved feet terminating in decorative bronze sabots. Expertly refinished, the piece retains its historical character while presenting beautifully for contemporary interiors.
