A beautiful pair of antique engravings by Jazet Jean Pierre Marie ( France 1788/ 1871 ca.). These 19th century engravings come with original gilded wood frames. The engravings have two different subjects:
– “Louis XV at the battle of Fontenoy” on May 11, 1745 from a work by the painter Emile Jean Horace Vernet made in 1828
– “The Last Day of Pompei” from a work by the painter Frédérick-Henri Schopin made in 1850
