Exquisite cherry and plum wood veneer on front back, sides and top decorate this beautiful desk. It comes from southern Germany.
The writing top of the antique cherry desk is surrounded by an open work brass bordering. All sides have the same light cherry veneer. Additionally, the inlaid bands of plum wood create a design with rectangular panels on each side. The special feature of this Louis XVI desk is the fully decorated back which gives you the possibility to place the desk in the middle of a room and not only against a wall.
Furthermore, the front has five drawers with original brass fittings, which offer you enough storage space for papers or writing utensils. This is a hard to find furniture piece and would be the perfect unique desk for a chic home office.
The antique cherry desk is in very good condition and measures Height: 31.5 in. (80 cm), Width: 47.25 in. (120 cm), Depth: 23.63 in. (60 cm). It ships from Germany and includes shipping costs and duty to Boston.
