About the Designer:
Ico Parisi (1916–1996) was an Italian architect and designer renowned for his contributions to mid-century modern design. Born in Palermo and based in Como, he apprenticed under architect Giuseppe Terragni and co-founded the La Ruota studio with his wife, Luisa Aiani, in 1948. Parisi’s work seamlessly integrated architecture, furniture, and art, creating sculptural designs that remain highly collectible today. His collaborations with brands like Cassina and his innovative use of materials such as wood, metal, and glass have solidified his legacy in the Italian design pantheon.
