Antique console table, France 1820-1830, mahogany veneer with marble top, in very good original condition.
The antique console table dates back to the French Restoration Period.
The restoration period in France was the time following the fall of Napoleon 1814. It ended 1830 with the July revolution. The decorative style of the French Restoration borrowed from both the geometry of the neoclassical style era, and the overload of decoration of the Louis XIV style, along with the color of Renaissance.
The upper part of this console table definitely shows the influence of the more geometric neoclassical Louis XVI style whereas the legs represent more of a baroque use of forms. The table can be combined with modern or antique furniture and is the ideal addition to any entryway.
The table measures 32.68 x 36.71 x 18.71 inches.
It ships from Germany and includes shipping costs to Boston.
