Chippendale Style Rectangular Table, England – Mid 20th century
This Chippendale-style rectangular table, crafted in England during the mid-20th century, is a grand example of classic design and craftsmanship. The table features a large top with a scalloped edge and raised corners, showcasing exceptional elm burl elements surrounded by a light wood net that forms geometric patterns with walnut. Its warm color is complemented by a beech-stained belt, which is molded and adorned with sculpted scrolls. The curved beech legs, with their rounded upper parts decorated with large acanthus leaves, end in “claw and ball” feet, true to Chippendale style. The table’s substantial size makes it ideal for large gatherings, comfortably seating up to 12 people, and with the addition of two 1.2-meter extensions, it can accommodate up to 18.

In very good condition with a satin varnish finish. Extensions of 1.2 meters are available.
