Biedermeier Vitrine – South Germany, Circa 1830
This elegant Biedermeier Vitrine dates to around 1830 and comes from South Germany. Crafted in solid and veneered walnut, it reflects neoclassical Biedermeier design with clean lines and refined details.
The cabinet features glass panels on three sides, all with original old glass. A rear wall mirror enhances light and depth, making it perfect for displaying fine objects. Ebonized full columns and cambered supports add architectural elegance to the structure.
Inside, the vitrine includes one oak bottom shelf and two softwood upper shelves. A brass escutcheon and iron lock secure the door. The entire piece has been restored and hand-polished with shellac, preserving its rich finish.
