19th-Century Biedermeier Commode in Figured Walnut, Vienna, Circa 1825

This 19th-Century Biedermeier Commode was crafted in Vienna around 1825 using beautifully figured walnut veneer.

The chest features four drawers, each with refined proportions and a light amber tone enhanced by a rich, 200-year-old patina.

The top drawer flares subtly outward, adding movement and elegance to the clean Biedermeier lines.

Ebony inlays surround each keyhole—a rare and meticulous decorative detail.

Original brass hardware and functioning locks complete the piece’s authentic character.

Tall, tapered block feet elevate the form and give it a distinctive, floating quality.
