Swedish Louis XVI Style Wall Clock, Westerstrand Urfabrik Töreboda,1949
Beautiful Swedish Louis XVI style wall clock made in Sweden in 1949 by Westerstrand Urfabrik Töreboda, a renowned Swedish clock manufacturer. This elegant antique wall clock features a finely crafted wooden case with stucco decoration and a gold-plated finish, reflecting the refined neoclassical aesthetics of the Louis XVI period.
The clock is fitted with an enamel dial with clear Arabic numerals and finely shaped brass hands. It is a half-hour striking clock and comes complete with two original brass winding keys.
The sculptural elements were executed by W. Agardh. The interior is signed “Gösta Jerudal, 23/9/1949” and “Skulpt. W. Agardh”, confirming its date and craftsmanship.
A distinguished example of mid-20th-century Swedish neoclassical clockmaking, ideal for classical, Gustavian, or traditional interiors.
