Antique Neoclassical desk with cylinder top, Germany 1790-1810

This antique Louis XVI desk dates back to the end of the 18th century, beginning of the 19th century. The unique desk has a cylinder top and a pull out writing surface and stands on four pointed legs. Furthermore, the inside of the writing compartment offers storage space for papers and pens in six drawers and an open compartment.

Walnut veneer, additionally embellished with garlands and geometric forms made of satinwood and mahogany inlays, gives this piece a very unique elegant touch.

This desk is the perfect piece for a home office or a working corner in a living room area. You can always close the cylinder top if not in use. It originally belonged to a salon with a settee, a pair of chairs and a single chair, which are offered separately.

The Neoclassical desk is in very good refinished condition and has a replaced green leatherette lining.
