Art Deco Table Gaston Poisson, Black Lacquer and Chrome, France circa 1935
This large Art Deco dining room table, attributed to Gaston Poisson, is a stunning example of French craftsmanship from around 1935. The table is made of solid mahogany wood, finished with a high-gloss black piano lacquer that enhances its elegant appearance. Polished stainless steel trims adorn the edges of the tabletop, while chrome-plated caps add a sleek touch to the ends of the cylindrical bars on the base. The table’s legs feature fluted designs, complementing the overall Art Deco aesthetic.
The table is extendable, with a side pull-out mechanism that includes two insert plates, each measuring 47 cm (18.5 inches), allowing the table to extend to a full length of 257 cm (101.2 inches). This versatile design makes it perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.
This table was originally part of a set that includes a matching Gaston Poisson sideboard, also available in our listings. Additionally, a set of six Art Deco chairs, finished in black with gray Alcantara leather, is available to complement this exquisite table.
