Bauhaus Desk by Erich Diekmann, Rosewood Veneer, Restored, Germany, 1920s
An original Bauhaus desk by Erich Diekmann. This desk comes from Germany in the 1920s. It features a wonderful rosewood veneer with an excellent clear lacquer surface. Inside the desk is bright maple. The newly galvanized metal fittings contrast beautifully with the dark exterior. Additionally, the stainless steel trim adds a unique charm to this desk. On both side of the desk, one finds a collection of drawers, allowing for ample storage space. The drawers are tucked behind a lockable cabinet door. Most notably, there are two compartments at the back of the desk which are concealed by two original sliding glass doors.
