Console Table Mahogany, Empire Style, France around 1810-20
This exquisite console table with mahogany veneer dates back to around 1810-1820. It comes from France and is a beautiful example of a late Empire style which already has elements of the Restoration Period.
The table has one central drawer. It is embellished with various brass fittings. The curved legs with lion paw feet stand on a rectangular base. A marble top decorates the top of the console. This is the perfect piece for an entryway. It is definitely an eye catcher.
