This exceptional 18th century French Louis XV bombe chest of drawers, dating from circa 1750–1760. It is a superb example of 18th-century craftsmanship and refined Rococo design. The elegant bombe form features three drawers, richly adorned with kingwood veneer and marquetry patterns. Additionally, it is fitted with original gilt bronze mounts and key escutcheons — a hallmark of the Louis XV period.
The shaped maroon colored marble top enhances the chest’s graceful curves, while the warm tones of the kingwood veneer bring depth and sophistication. Several drawer handles have been replaced over time, yet the piece retains its authentic character and artistry.
