This Small Two-Body Buffet in Solid Walnut, crafted in the Renaissance style during the mid-19th century. A masterpiece of detailed craftsmanship and elegance. The lower section features two mitered-frame doors with relief carvings of Zeus and Hera, showcasing intricate, mythological artistry. These doors, mounted on iron hinges, come with their original lock and scrolled key entrances, enhancing the historical charm of the piece.
At its center, an antique black marble slab is beautifully highlighted with a double line of light and dark wood accents. The interior includes an adjustable shelf, providing functional storage. Flanked by two double columns, the buffet rests on a projecting base with ball feet, adding both stability and style.
The upper part of this recessed piece, known as diminutive, mirrors the design of the lower half, featuring sculpted doors and an antique scene of a nymph. The pediment showcases a depiction of Apollo within an altar, adding grandeur and rich decoration.
