Walnut Biedermeier Chest of Drawers, first half of the 19th century
The walnut Biedermeier chest of drawers comes from the German/ French border region and dates back to 1830-1850.
The commode has a beautiful walnut veneer on coniferous wood. The four drawer Biedermeier dresser is embellished with two ebonized columns. It stands on four square feet.
The furniture has undergone restoration process in our workshop during which we have repaired structural elements, filled in defects and fixed the locks.
The surface is finished with shellac polish applied by hand with a pad, which apart from its excellent visual effect protects and cares for the wood. The chest is in very good condition, fully functional, ready to use.
