Empire Style
The Empire Style takes its name from the period during which Napoleon ruled France as an Empire (1800-1815). A Neoclassical style, it features Ancient Greek and Roman motifs, particularly integrated columns and geometric decor. More formally elegant than Baroque furniture of the 18th century but with a similar focus on projecting power and might, Empire pieces will add a dash of tasteful luxury to any interior.
