Original Biedermeier Armoire / Wardrobe, Southern Germany, c. 1820
This exquisite original Biedermeier armoire dates from Southern Germany around 1820. Crafted in walnut and walnut burl veneer over softwood, it showcases the refined elegance of early 19th-century Biedermeier furniture.
The wardrobe features ebonized full columns and intermediate trim, along with a beautifully curved walnut-veneered cornice. An inlaid horn key escutcheon, original box lock, latches, and hinges highlight its authentic period details.
Inside, the armoire offers three shelves covered with black fabric on the left and an old wooden bar on the right, providing versatile storage. Expertly restored with a hand-polished shellac finish, it remains in excellent condition. The piece can be completely dismantled for easy transportation.
