This German Biedermeier chest of drawers dates to circa 1820. It reflects the refined elegance of early 19th-century design. The chest is crafted with a beautifully figured walnut veneer. The warm wood grain adds depth and character.
The piece features three drawers. Ebonized columns frame the façade and create strong vertical lines. Elegant inlay work appears above and below the columns. These details enhance the design without overpowering it.
The chest has been expertly refinished. A traditional hand-applied shellac polish was used. This finish enhances the walnut and gives the surface a soft, natural sheen. The piece is in very good condition.
This antique chest works well in many settings. Use it as a bedroom dresser, a living room commode, or a statement piece in an entryway or study. Its design pairs easily with both classic and contemporary interiors.

The items are insured during the shipping process and the shipper’s insurance will cover the cost for any damage caused by the shipper during the shipping process.

All sales are final once buyer or buyer’s agent takes possession of an item.
Upon inspection, if you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller.
