Silvio Coppola for Bernini Step-Back Sideboard in Walnut, Italy, 1960s
Designed by Silvio Coppola for Bernini, this elegant step-back sideboard is a fine example of Italian Mid-Century Modern design. Crafted in beautifully figured light walnut, it combines clean architectural lines with practical storage and the exceptional craftsmanship that made Bernini one of Italy’s leading furniture manufacturers.
The lower section features four doors, including two angled corner doors, that open to spacious storage compartments. Above, the recessed section offers eight open niches for books or decorative objects. Two concealed side shelves lift to reveal compartments originally designed for storing cutlery. The original Bernini manufacturer’s label confirms its authenticity.
With its warm walnut grain and timeless design, this sideboard is equally suited to dining rooms, living spaces, or offices. It remains in excellent vintage condition.
