19th Century Italian Writing and Reading Stand, Lectern, or Music Stand
We present this large antique Italian lectern stand dating back to the mid-19th century during the Louis Philippe period. Made of solid poplar wood characterized by a simple line without ornaments graced by legs that have a beautiful turning work.
The peculiarity of this lectern is its many possibilities of use, its large dimensions with a large surface where to place the reading book allowed the possibility of writing. Its design was meticulous, carefully studying the storage functionality. The surface rises and reveals a large storage space. Under the surface a practical drawer allows you to store small objects for reading or writing. In addition the lower part is structured like a small bookcase and allows you to store some books on display.
