Antique Empire Gueridon Table with Marble Top, 19th Century
This elegant antique Empire gueridon table combines warm cherry wood veneers with architectural ebonized details and gilt-bronze accents. The round top features a beautifully veined white marble inset framed by a broad veneered border.
Three tapered ebonized columns support the circular apron and are embellished with gilt-bronze collars. They connect to a sculptural tripartite base decorated with contrasting geometric inlay. The combination of rich wood, black accents, marble, and gilt details gives the table the refined architectural character associated with Empire and Neoclassical furniture.
With its balanced proportions and striking circular form, this antique gueridon makes an elegant center table, side table, or accent table in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
