Original Bentwood Rocking Chair, Jacob & Josef Kohn, Austria, 1905–1910 – Model 835A
This original bentwood rocking chair was designed by Gustav Siegel and manufactured by Jacob & Josef Kohn in Austria between 1905 and 1910. Model 835A is one of the iconic examples of Vienna bentwood furniture, known for its elegant lines and light yet sturdy construction.
The frame is made of solid steam-bent wood and remains in good, stable condition. It features a black finish with new upholstery and fabric, offering both historic authenticity and modern comfort.
The previous owner purchased this rocker from an art gallery in The Hague in 2008, adding to its documented provenance.
