Biedermeier Cherry Chest of Drawers, 1830
This pretty Biedermeier cherry chest of drawers dates back to 1830 and comes from the Southern part of Germany.
It has an elegant cherry veneer with ebonized details. The ebonized wooden knobs and escutcheons on the drawers are original.
The front of the upper drawer of the three drawer commode can be folded out and it can then be used as a writing top. The inside of this drawer is black. This would be a great piece for a bed room for example, store you sweaters in the lower two drawers and use the upper drawer as a desk.
The light wood and the sleek design of the Biedermeier dresser are easy to integrate in a modern home.
