Biedermeier Fall-Front Desk in Karelian Birch, Circa 1815

This elegant Biedermeier fall-front desk, crafted around 1815, features exquisite Karelian birch veneer and refined neoclassical details. The drop-front opens to reveal a beautifully designed interior with multiple small drawers and a central arched compartment, simulating a portal door with inlaid decoration.

A timeless example of early 19th-century Biedermeier craftsmanship, this writing desk offers both functional storage and sculptural presence. It is in good condition and was originally acquired in 1991 from Bernd Goeckler, a renowned dealer in New York City.
