Biedermeier Half Cabinet, Demi-lune, Cherrywood and Brass, France, circa 1810
A rare Biedermeier half cabinet from France. It dates back to 1810. This demi-lune, or semicircle, cabinet is made from partly ebonized solid cherry wood. Four brass leaf ornaments are featured on the exterior of this piece. The cabinet is held by four square tapered conical legs. In the middle of the cabinet is a door with a pine wood compartment behind it.
