Biedermeier Sewing Stand, Cherry Wood, South Germany circa 1825
A rare and very fine Biedermeier sewing stand. The stand showcases veneered and solid cherry wood that is hand polished with shellac. The sewing stand features a round pincushion with new black structured velvet fabric. The pincushion stands on a tripod base made from cherry wood. A small drawer is found around the front of the sewing stand. Overall a wonderful piece of Biedermeier furniture.
