Neoclassical Louis XVI Game Table, 1780
This antique Neoclassical Louis XVI game table dates back to 1780 and comes from southern Germany It stands out for its exquisite marquetry decor. The rectangular table has a cherry and plum veneer and intarsia in different fruitwood. The top is decorated with a chess board. The unfolded top of the game table rests on the two pull out back legs. The unfolded top is decorated with green felt.
The Neoclassical table comes expertly refinished and French polished. It still has some minor traces of its age which add to the charm of this unique piece.
