Small Blond Mahogany Bookcase Cabinet, Art Deco – 1940
This small blond mahogany bookcase cabinet from the Art Deco period (1940) showcases a refined and elegant design. It features three doors, mounted on “piano” hinges, each with original locks and brass coat-of-arms entries, accompanied by matching keys.
The side doors, with their rounded corners, are adorned with inlaid medallions of mother-of-pearl and contrasting woods, creating intricate patterns. The central section of the cabinet is topped with a niche and includes a third door with a dark, chamfered frame and beveled glass. Inside, the cabinet offers three central shelves with mahogany edges and four side shelves with grooves, providing ample storage.
The vintage bookcase rests on four slightly flattened ball feet, and the recessed top is finished with decorative molding. This piece stands out for its elegant proportions and sophisticated style.
