Set of Eight Eero Saarinen Tulip Chairs, for Knoll 1970s
Set of eight Eero Saarinen Tulip dining chairs designed for Knoll, part of Saarinen’s celebrated Pedestal Collection introduced in the 1950s. The sculptural design features a white lacquered cast aluminum pedestal basesupporting a fiberglass-reinforced shell, eliminating the visual clutter of traditional chair legs.
Each chair is upholstered with a cream-colored corduroy seat cushion, offering a warm texture that complements the clean modern silhouette. The Tulip chair remains one of the most recognizable pieces of mid-century modern design, admired for its elegant form and innovative construction.
This set of eight Saarinen Tulip chairs, produced in the 1970s, works beautifully around a dining table in both modern and classic interiors.
