Gustavian Dresser – Rare Antique Swedish Chest of Drawers Commode with Rococo Style
This incredibly rare and large Gustavian dresser, dating from the late 1700s or early 1800s, is a stunning example of Swedish craftsmanship. This antique chest of drawers features a Gustavian white-grey painted finish, enhanced with classic rococo-style feet and beautifully detailed drawer fronts. The gilt edges provide an extra layer of elegance.
With three ornate drawers, each adorned with intricate handles, this piece also boasts a faux marble effect hand-painted top that highlights the artistry of the period.

As expected from a piece of this age, this Gustavian dresser’s back is plain. Additionally, the finish shows the natural signs of age and use, including long-dead woodworm holes. The drawer bottoms also display typical marks from use over the centuries.
The drawers have been carefully treated for woodworm, ensuring they remain structurally sound and suitable for daily use. However, due to its age, handle with care.
