Two-Doored Art Deco Armoire, Palisander Optic, Steel Tube and Chrome, Czech, circa 1930
An elegant two-doored Art Deco armoire from Czechia. It date backs to 1930.
The armoire features beech plywood painted with a wonderful book-matched Palisander veneer optic, a quite rare technique from this period.
Around the edges of the trunk, there is a chromed steel tube lining. The original handles on the front are also made of steel and have been newly galvanized during the restoration.
Inside the armoire, there are several original and adjustable holes for four shelf compartments and there is one chromed steel tube handing rail for when the shelves are not put in.
