This elegant Biedermeier chest of drawers, dating to the early 19th century, features beautifully figured cherrywood veneers arranged to emphasize the natural grain and warm golden tones of the wood. Its restrained architectural design reflects the refined simplicity that defines the Biedermeier period.
Three generous drawers are framed by slender columnar supports with contrasting ebonized details. Round brass pulls provide an understated decorative accent, while particularly attractive marquetry surrounds the keyholes with delicate scrolling foliage motifs. Fine dark stringing further defines the drawer fronts and emphasizes the chest’s balanced proportions.
