Large Art Deco Sideboard, Amboyna Roots and Rosewood, France/Paris circa 1925
Art Deco Side Board of best quality and workmanship from Paris around 1925.
Very special big concave fluted and cambered convex doors are the special features of this Art Deco Side board. They can be folded out widely and are veneered in the most beautiful Amboyna Roots Veneer as well as Rosewood/Palisander veneer in-between. The insides of the doors are veneered in Palisander and polished, too. In the middle part, it has a glass bar compartment with mirrors inside and one glass plate. On top it has an original marble plate. Underneath the plate, there is an emblem of old a “Garde meuble” (self storage) in Paris.
Some parts of the Sideboard are black lacquered and it has several chromed metal fittings. Inside, the compartments are veneered in oak and have one floor on each side. The sideboard is in excellent condition and newly lacquered and polished.
